This page explains what data Cyprus Rentals collects, how we use it, and who we may share it with to operate the platform.
1. What data we collect
Account data: name, email, phone, interface language. Listing data: address, photos, property details, owner verification documents (ID scan and title-deed / ownership document). Technical data: IP address, device type, cookies used for authentication and currency/language preferences.
2. How we use data
To display listings, moderate content, process contact-unlock payments, send listing status notifications, and prevent fraud. We do not sell personal data to third parties or use it for advertising outside the platform.
3. Who else processes data
Payments are processed by Stripe (card details never pass through or are stored on our servers). Listing photos and verification documents are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage. Both providers process data under their own security policies.
4. Owner phone number
An owner's phone number is shown to a renter only after they pay the one-time contact-unlock fee for that specific listing. Before payment, the number is never displayed or shared.
5. Data retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@cyprus-rentals.test — we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe, except information we are legally required to retain (e.g. for payment accounting purposes).
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, its correction, or its deletion at any time by contacting support.
